The Institutes
Institute for Materials Science and Technology (BAY-ATI)
This research base of the Foundation was founded in 1995. The departments work in close cooperation with the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and with the institutes of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA MFA, MTA KK).
Main metiers are laser technology, metal technology, polymer and composite technologies, sensor and instrument development.
Institute for Biotechnology (BAY-BIO)
The BAY-BIO was founded in 1993 with the expert researcher base of the University of Szeged and BRC. Main research fields are:
- molecular biotechnology
- biotransformation
- bioremediation technologies
Institute of Logistics and Production Engineering (BAY-LOGI)
The Foundation’s second institute was founded in 1993 in cooperation with the University of Miskolc. Main profiles:
- logistics
- applied information technology
- structural integrity
- recycling, environmental protection
- production systems
Institute for Applied Telecommunication Technologies (BAY-IKTI)
Institute for Nanotechnology (BAY-NANO)
The BAY-NANO Research Institute for Nanotechnolgy was established in July, 2006 as a green-field project in the city of Miskolc.
The main goal of BAY-NANO:
nano-composites, nano-deformation, nano-dispersion, nano-medicine, nano-metrology.
